Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Pay/Salary: $64,000 - $72,000

What You’ll Do:
Responsibilities of the Diesel Technology Instructor include, but are not limited to:
+ Lead engaging classroom and hands-on lab instruction to develop students’ technical skills.
+ Guide, mentor, and supervise students in a supportive and professional learning environment.
+ Assess learning progress through written, oral, practical, and performance-based evaluations.
+ Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and progress reports.
+ Teach core diesel technician skills, including brakes, engine rebuilding, electrical systems, A/C, cooling, exhaust, fuel systems, and more.
+ Stay current with industry developments, instructional strategies, and technologies.
+ Foster positive relationships with students, industry professionals, and the community.
What We’re Looking For:
+ Education & Experience: A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required. An associate degree or certificate in Diesel Mechanics, Auto Technology, or a related field, plus three years of industry experience, is preferred. A combination of education and six years of industry experience will be considered.
+ Certifications: T-6 and T-8 ASE certifications are required, and achieving Master Technician status within one year of hire is required.
+ Expertise: Strong knowledge of diesel systems, troubleshooting, repair techniques, and industry best practices.
+ Teaching & Leadership Skills: Effectively mentoring, motivating, and instructing students.
+ Strong Communication & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to engage with students, parents, industry professionals, and educators professionally.
