**Job Title: Mechanic** **Job Description** We are a local heavy concrete construction company in Kansas that is growing and looking for a dedicated and reliable Mechanic who enjoys working on regular trucks as well as heavy equipment like loaders and skid steers. **Responsibilities** + Maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and gas systems on a variety of equipment, both large and small. + Inspect tires, controls, check fuel and fluids to ensure reliable operation. + Change attachments, make adjustments, verify information, and troubleshoot problems. + Store and clean machinery at its designated location and complete work reports. + Purchase and transport oil, gas, and replacement parts to the project site and assist with maintenance and repairs. + Practice safety by estimating weights and distances, being fully aware of surroundings, and minimizing hazards. + Participate in daily meetings with your supervisor and staff, maintaining constant communication throughout the work period. **Essential Skills** + Previous experience in repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment. + Experience with diesel mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems. + Ability to inspect and maintain various equipment systems. + Experience in troubleshooting mechanical problems. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED required. + Special technical and educational training is a plus. + 2+ years of experience in performing equipment services and maintenance is preferred. **Why Work Here?** We offer Health and Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and a Retirement Savings Match.
