Diesel Mechanic
**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic capable of traveling anywhere within the United States. This is a fully travel-based role, with a home base where you currently reside. The majority of work will be performed in Omaha, Nebraska, but you must be able to travel to other project locations as needed. You will need to provide your own tools and have the ability to operate a company vehicle, with a truck provided for your use. **Responsibilities** + Service and repair heavy equipment such as Haul Trucks, Scrapers, Dozers, Water Trucks, Excavators, and Skid Steers. + Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on heavy machinery. + Troubleshoot and repair components, including electrical, mechanical, engine, oil, fuel, hydraulic, and air filter systems. + Independently perform minor repairs, while major repairs will be sent to a CAT service center. + Operate heavy equipment and conduct repairs on commercial construction sites. **Essential Skills** + Experience with diesel repair and heavy equipment. + Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostics. + Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, engine, oil, fuel, hydraulic, and air filter systems. + Ability to perform preventive maintenance and component repairs. + Capability to work independently. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + CAT Certified Diesel Mechanic is highly preferred. + Strong experience with heavy equipment on commercial construction sites. + Ability to travel extensively. + Proficient in heavy equipment operation, engine repair, and brake and fuel line diagnostics and repair. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a generous per diem of $830 per week while traveling. A company truck is provided for your convenience. **Work Environment** You will work on large data center projects involving earth moving activities. Be prepared for varying temperatures, from cold to hot, depending on the time of year.
