Diesel Mechanic
**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Job Description** The diesel mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing semi-trucks and trailers. This includes engine repairs, engine overhauls, diagnosing, DPF (diesel particulate filter) repairs, transmission and clutch repair and replacement, differential and power divider repairs, axle, hub, and bearing service, air brakes, hydraulic brakes, air systems, and spring replacement/repair. **Responsibilities** + Diagnose and troubleshoot semi-trucks and trailers + Perform engine repairs, overhauls, and DPF repairs + Repair and replace transmissions and clutches + Service differentials, power dividers, axles, hubs, and bearings + Repair air brakes, hydraulic brakes, and air systems + Replace and repair springs + Handle a variety of vehicles including semi-trucks, charter buses, and lift trucks + Perform general PMs on trucks **Essential Skills** + 3+ years as a diesel mechanic with good tenure and strong work references + 3+ years diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, brakes, clutches, and large machinery including semi-trucks + Experience with diesel mechanics and diesel engines + Proficiency in engine repair, specifically Cummins, Detroit, Volvo, and Peterbilt engines + Experience with diagnostic testing and troubleshooting + Own tools and toolboxes valued around $15-25k **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of electrical systems + Ability to work with technology, including laptops for work orders **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned company that values hard work and a positive attitude. Our 26k sq. ft. facility is clean and equipped with electronic lifts to avoid crouching or working above your head. While we have a dedicated cleaning staff, each mechanic is responsible for keeping their workstation clean.
