**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role is primarily for the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) Monday-Friday, plus every other Saturday for 4 hours. The position involves performing preventative maintenance and repair tasks on diesel engines. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair, particularly with Freightliners, Mack, and Cummins engines. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance on diesel trucks. + Grease trucks and change oil filters. + Repair broken parts and brakes. + Fix broken electrical lights on trucks. + Maintain and repair hydraulic pumps. + Conduct computer diagnostics for engine issues. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience with diesel engines, specifically Freightliners, Mack, and Cummins engines. + Experience with hydraulics, preventative maintenance, brakes, oil changes, and greasing. + PA Inspection certification is a must. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience in a real work environment. + Ability to perform general trailer mechanics and maintenance. + Engine diagnostics skills. **Why Work Here?** We offer a competitive benefits package and a supportive work environment. You will work in a shop environment that can be dirty, hot, and smelly, especially in the summer. The team is approximately 10 direct reports, and you will work closely with mechanics and welders while supporting all other departments, including the plant, office, and drivers. The dress code includes company uniforms, and the culture is very safety-focused. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
