**DESCRIPTION** **We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Dedham, MA.** **_In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:_** _• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop_ _• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools_ _• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles_ _• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies_ _• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products_ _• Maintain own tools_ **RESPONSIBILITIES** **_In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:_** **_(Intermediate):_** _• Completes complex internal engine repairs_ _• Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision_ **_(Advanced):_** _• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools_ _• Larger more complicated engine rebuilds_ _• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation_ **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education, Licenses, Certifications** Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience** Minimal level of work shop experience required Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products This is a union position. **This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. This position will be part of the FTA pool. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.** + A current valid license is required for this role + This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations + This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical + 3 years driving experience + This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use + This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements.
