Ensures adherence to all dietary restrictions and exclusion of food allergies. Assists patients in selecting meal choices by phone and bedside. Modifies patient menus, fulfills nourishments, confirms accuracy of patient meal creation, and communicates with nursing staff and dietitians to help assist with patients’ specific dietary needs. Assists in helping to maintain good nutritional status of all patients. Processes and updates new diets and changes as required. Informs kitchen staff of food requirements based on standards established by dietitians.
