+ Mission + To inspire health and healing by putting patients first - ALWAYS. + Position Summary + The Dietetic Assistant is responsible for obtaining patient meal and nourishment selections in accordance with diet orders and nutrition interventions. + Minimum Qualifications + Education + Must be at least 17 years old and currently enrolled in high school or an equivalent educational program. + Credentials + State Required: None + GPH Required/Preferred: None + Physical Demands + Stand and/or walk constantly. + Lift up to 50 lbs. + Climb small ladder occasionally. + Push/pull up to 50 lbs. force frequently. + Bend, reach, stoop and kneel occasionally + Eye hand coordination occasionally. + Reach shoulder height constantly. + Essential Functions + Enters patient meal requests accurately in accordance with diet order score + May assist tray line building patient trays. + May assist in preparing food items for meal prep. + May assist serving trays to patients. + May assist in removal of trays from patient rooms and report or chart intake of meals, snacks and supplements + Communicates patient’s special needs, diet preferences or changes to Dietitian for follow up. + Track supplement stock and build weekly order form. + May assist Dietitian with assessments upon completion of an ADA certified program as a Dietetic Technician.
