Interns will work closely with elementary and middle school students through interactive cooking classes, nutrition lessons, and gardening projects. Key Responsibilities + Plan and lead nutrition and cooking classes for students ages 6-15, adapting lessons to age groups. + Collaborate with students on cultural and thematic recipes, ensuring they learn practical cooking skills. + Co-teach classes with support from experienced staff, gradually transitioning to independent leadership. + Prepare healthy meals and snacks for students during classes and events, emphasizing food security. + Facilitate monthly salad bars featuring culturally themed menus. + Integrate gardening and sustainability education, using produce grown in school gardens and hoop houses. + Maintain accurate records of activities, lesson plans, and program impacts.
