To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
Current Registered Dietitian certification in good standing in the state of Indiana. A strong understanding of Indiana State Facilities Division regulations related to healthcare and long-term care nutrition services. Exceptional communication, leadership, and administrative skills. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of nutritional care for our residents and patients. Responsibilities include:
Coordinating all aspects of nutrition care, including menu planning, calculating specialized diets, and providing nutritional supplements as needed. Conducting nutritional evaluations and assessments for residents and patients to meet individual needs. Educating and counseling residents, patients, and families on nutrition and dietary plans. Collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to connect patients with nutrition resources. Monitoring and updating care plans as patient goals and medical needs evolve. Communicating findings and recommendations effectively with physicians and rehabilitation team members. Ensuring compliance with Indiana state regulations and long-term care facility standards related to food handling and care. Leading informal and formal feedback efforts, including menu and meal satisfaction surveys.About Us:
