**Responsibilities** The RD Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is responsible to teach patient/family skills for diabetes self- management. Will implement proper protocols for diabetes patient management, will evaluate patient needs at appropriate intervals and suggests appropriate management strategies to the patient and/or physician. Will evaluate current practice standards and evidence and develops and maintains resources.
