**Description** PeaceHealth is seeking a **Dietitian I - Endocrinology for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position.** The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $32.32 – $48.48. These amenities are surrounded by incredible scenery, from the sea to the mountains and the rainforest, making this community an amazing place to live. Acclaimed for its small-city flavor and the home of Western Washington University, Whatcom Community College and Bellingham Technical College, Bellingham has a robust art, music and cultural scene while boasting 65 miles of inner-urban trails to explore, pristine lakes, forests, saltwater beaches, and snow-covered peaks - there are unlimited opportunities for breathtaking hikes, relaxing camping trips, water activities, bird watching, snow sports, and scenic drives!  This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of nutrition care, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed. **Details of the position:** + Competent use of the Nutrition Care Process including nutrition assessment, identification of nutritional diagnosis, implementation of appropriate nutrition intervention, and formulation of patient specific goals, monitoring, evaluation, and follow up of outcomes. + Using evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines, will provide nutrition education to patients and families in the outpatient and/or inpatient settings. + Provides consult services to other healthcare providers and participates in the interdisciplinary team. + Documents in the EMR in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations. + When appropriate, makes referrals to other services, agencies and community resources. + Performs other duties as assigned. **What you bring:** + Master's Degree required in a related field of study. Caregivers who earned their RD license before 1/1/2024 when a bachelor's degree was sufficient will be grandfathered. + Required: Successful completion of AND approved internship/training program + Registered Dietitian Required at hire or must pass Registration Exam within 180 days, and + Required for Outpatient Dietitians in WA: Certified Dietitian - Washington. + May be required: Current Medicare provider status number **Skills** + Demonstrated skill in teaching adults and pediatrics of varying competency levels. (Required) + Must be able to design, implement, and evaluate instructional materials. (Required) + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Required) + Ability to interact with a variety of departments and work independently on numerous projects simultaneously. (Required) + Proficient in the use of computers including MS Office applications. (Required) + Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.
