Sodexo has an opportunity for a Full Time Dietitian Nutritionist II at WellStar MCG a 517-bed adult hospital and 154-bed Children’s Hospital in Augusta, GA.

 

WellStar MCG is a Level 1 Trauma hospital with 68 adult critical care beds (Trauma, MICU, SICU, Neurology ICU and CVICU). Other services provided include oncology, renal, cardiac and women's health. WellStar MCG is the academic health center for The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University (AU). This is a growing, active medical community. The successful candidate will: 

Registered Dietitian with 3-5 years or more experience Primarily will cover CVICU unit and other units as assigned Work rotating weekends, providing hospital wide coveragePerform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test traysEducate health care team members, including residents, physicians, and nursesActively participate in multidisciplinary roundingBe involved in performance improvement projectsPrecept dietetic interns Provide nutrition support as part of nutrition assessments and re-assessments

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
