Registered Dietitian Team Lead
Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Dietitian Team Lead to join the team. This role is full-time Day Shift (40 hrs/week) Monday- Friday.
The Registered Dietitian Team Lead serves as the expert resource to our Community Health division, specifically Inova Cares for Women and Children, Inova Juniper Program, and Childhood Obesity Prevention Program – The Healthy Plate Club. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive, enriching ambulatory medical setting. The position is primarily located in Falls Church, VA and may involve travel between program sites. The Dietitian Registered Team Lead provides safe and therapeutic nutritional care in a comprehensive and systematic manner. Acts as a resource to physicians, nurses and other allied professional healthcare team members to provide patients with optimum nutritional care. Ensures that improvements in practice settings occur by assuming responsibility for self-development and the development of staff in lifelong learning. Provides direction and guidance for others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor. May perform additional duties as assigned.Registered Dietitian Team Lead Requirements for Consideration:
Work Schedule: Full-time Day Shift (40 hrs/week) Monday- Friday Education: Master’s degree if degree was completed after 1/1/2024 Experience: 3 years’ experience in an acute care setting with recent hospital experience-OR previous clinical nutrition practice experience with a minimum of 5 years, which includes working with a multidisciplinary health care team Certification: Registered Dietitian (RD) Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required within 3 Months of hire
