**What you will be doing:**
Join our dynamic Digital Banking team and help us drive inclusive design and accessibility across our digital products. As a Senior Digital Accessibility Strategist, you will envision and design accessible and inclusive digital experiences for Scotiabank customers, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to advance our digital accessibility strategy.
**Is this role right for you?** **In this role, you will:**
+ Contribute to the development of team/project roadmaps that align with the digital accessibility strategy.
+ Drive the creation of accessible and inclusive products using design thinking, validated learning, business needs analysis, and market research.
+ Analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making processes and understand customer pain points, needs, and expectations.
+ Serve as an accessibility technical subject matter expert for user interface experiences, monitoring industry trends and best practices.
+ Develop and evolve scalable accessibility design, development, and testing processes, methodologies, tools, and criteria in collaboration with relevant centers of practice.
+ Collaborate strategically with teams to support digital product development.
+ Identify and remove accessibility barriers to enhance user experience and drive systemic changes.
+ Provide strategic direction, training, and feedback to build accessibility knowledge and capacity within various teams.
+ Lead and influence without authority using a collaborative and outcomes-based mindset.
+ Proactively solve problems and bring innovation from an opportunity-seeking perspective.
**Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?** **- We'd love to work with you if you have:**
+ 5 - 8 years of practical digital accessibility experience.
+ Advanced knowledge of digital accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
+ Self-driven with the ability to take ownership and accountability, working in a self-guided manner to drive initiatives.
+ Thorough understanding of front-end technologies and their limitations and constraints related to digital accessibility for mobile and responsive web applications.
+ Proven ability to communicate the complexities and opportunities for digital inclusion to both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Expert relationship-building and influencing skills.
+ Expert understanding of usability and user interface design principles.
+ High level of awareness of disability-related issues concerning digital accessibility.
+ A fast learner with an appetite to understand both simple and complex financial solutions.
