Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly innovative and strategic individual to join our team as Senior Manager, Digital and AI Business Innovation. This role focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative digital services to drive forward-thinking projects and innovations within Edwards THV EU. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a solid understanding of AI technologies (in particular GenAI), strong interest in exploring new technologies and disseminating learnings, as well as the ability to implement and oversee complex projects from ideation to completion. 

The role involves strategic thinking,  consultancy mindset and project management leadership, with close collaboration with the Digital and AI team members, and broader partnership with Marketing, Training & Development, Business Ops and Commercial teams. 

Success requires creativity, user-centricity, problem-solving, a strong drive as well as the ability to forge partnerships with diverse internal and external stakeholders

How you will make an impact:

Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest AI technologies and trends. Disseminate relevant insights to the broader organization.

Analyze and understand key THV EU business needs within Commercial, Marketing, Training and Development, Business Ops and Medical Affairs organizations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities. Align exploration efforts based on the identified needs. Identify opportunities of AI-driven and technology solutions to address key business needs and articulate recommendations based on the potential business impact.

Where relevant, identify external partnerships with technology-driven organizations to address key business needs. Collaborate with internal global stakeholders to align on partnership opportunity sourcing and align on partnership approaches.  Engage with relevant external stakeholders as needed. Design partnership models with external organizations, aligning internal business needs with external stakeholder’s interest. Clearly articulate and communicate partnership goals, model and outcomes, as well as go-to-market plan.

Lead and manage AI-driven and technology innovation projects from ideation through implementation.  Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Work closely with different departments to integrate AI and innovative solutions into existing workflows. Ensure clear communication and coordination across teams to facilitate smooth project execution.

Document opportunity pipeline and clearly report and communicate on opportunity assessment progress

Performance monitoring and optimization: monitor the performance of implemented innovations and make adjustments as necessary. Provide regular updates and reports on the progress and impact of projects to peers and Leadership Team. Communicate project progress, challenges, and successes to stakeholders at all levels.

Other incidental duties:

Training and support: provide training and support to team members on new AI tools and innovative solutions. Ensure team members are well-equipped to utilize new technologies effectively.

Provide technical and functional leadership and guidance on AI initiatives. Act as internal expert consultant as needed.

Manage project budget, establish and maintain project timelines, drive communication to stakeholders. Proactively prepare proposals of new initiatives that support strategy – with budget, resources and time requirements.


What you’ll need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree in related field

10+ years of experience leveraging digital technologies to impact business functions (e.g. sales, marketing, training and development, business operations) within a healthcare-related industry

Excellent track record and understanding of digital technology and AI, development and execution of comprehensive digital strategies, incorporating UX practice in projects.

Experience designing and building GenAI solutions in business environment – and/or for personal projects. Strong interest and curiosity in business use cases of GenAI use.

Strong partnership mindset. Excellent track record building partnership with internal stakeholders to support projects, and with external stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet internal business goals.

Strong understanding on how to develop and articulate a digital strategy, and communicate this strategy internally in a compelling manner – including to non-digital experts.

Strong experience leading projects, setting clear milestones and outcomes, communicating on progress and aligning stakeholders towards completion.

Strong experience exploring and identifying technology and AI-driven opportunities, and prioritizing opportunities based on potential business impact. Excellent track records identifying and delivering quick wins. Strong ability to communicate opportunity evaluation progress.

Fluent English, other languages are a plus, (ex. French and German)

Ability to collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners. Ability to forge partnerships at all organizational levels and to proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management. Must be able influence and guide stakeholders

Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in an international environment

Highly creative with ability to think out of box

Additional Elements

Must be willing to travel occasionally (up to 30%)
