This Digital and Data Solutions Lead role is housed in our Digital & Data business unit and will focus on leading our Data Analytics, AI and Insights consulting practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects, leading teams, and interfacing directly with clients in the engineering consulting sector. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business challenges into data-driven solutions, guiding projects from inception to successful completion. A successful candidate should be able to oversee cross-functional teams from engineering and digital domains, lead teams on projects, manage client relationships, ensure high quality delivery of innovative solutions. Technical proficiency in Data Science, Engineering, Visualization and AI are important and the role also emphasizes proficiency in project management, team leadership, and client engagement. The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive business value through data-driven insights is crucial for success in this position. LOCATION: * Remote in the United States with preference for Pacific & Central time zones. * There will be significant collaboration required with European time zones. * Anticipate occasional travel for team meetings and client meetings, mainly in North America. Key Responsibilities: * Seller/Doer working with Jacobs’s project teams and clients to develop cutting edge digital solutions utilizing data analytics and AI. * Build and lead cross-functional digital teams to support Jacobs programs and projects. * Manage and mentor direct and indirect reports. * Connect with Market leaders, Client Account Managers, Project Managers, and Geographic leads to find opportunities to enable our projects with digital and data offerings. * Support proposals by drafting Scopes of Work, Levels of Effort, and building teams. * Technical and thought leadership within Data Science, Engineering, Visualization and AI practice space. * Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. * 7+ years of experience in consulting, digital solutions, data analysis, engineering, and visualization. * Expertise in tools and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Palantir Foundry, Palantir AIP, AWS, Python, Power BI, GIS, and database technology (data lakes, vector database, etc.) Preferred: * Experience with advanced data analytics and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, R, Spark * Experience in AI-enabled solutions and services * Experience in effectively implementing generative AI (GenAI) and large language model (LLM) solutions. * Experience in the AEC (Architectural, Engineering, and Consultant) industry or related industries * Experience with DevOps, Jira, or related * Degree in data science, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, or information systems Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
