Job Summary/Description:

KWQC, the top-rated NBC affiliate in Davenport, IA, is accepting applications for a Promotions Producer to join its award-winning Creative Services Team. KWQC TV6 is seeking a talented Video Storyteller to join our Emmy Award-nominated Creative Services team. If you love videography, writing, editing, and navigating the dynamic world of digital and broadcast media, this opportunity is made for you. You’ll work with and learn from the best in the business while serving the community helping bring our stories to life across multi-media platforms through captivating videos. Your work will be showcased across a range of digital platforms and broadcast outlets.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Videography and Cinematography: Utilize your keen eye and technical prowess to capture stunning visuals that convey emotion, authenticity, and depth. Whether it's on-location shoots or studio setups, your ability to tell stories through the lens will be invaluable
- Editing Mastery: Bring raw footage to life through expert editing techniques. Seamlessly weave together footage, audio, and graphics to create polished and engaging videos that hold the viewer's attention and convey our message effectively
- Crafting Compelling Narratives: Your writing skills will shine as you translate complex stories into clear and concise scripts. Every word you pen will contribute to the powerful narratives we share with the world
- Multi-platform Strategy: Tailor content for various digital social media platforms, adapting your storytelling approach to engage audiences on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more. Additionally, collaborate with our team to produce content for traditional broadcast channels

Qualifications/Requirements:

- A portfolio that showcases your videography, editing, and writing abilities
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with an ability to adapt tone and style as needed
- Creative mindset with a deep understanding of visual aesthetics and composition
- Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- A collaborative attitude and openness to feedback
