Digital Campaign Manager - Royal Canin (Canada)

Job Description:

The Digital Campaign Manager ensures digital communications efforts deliver against their objectives to amplify the execution of a super-premium brand voice that drives value across the pet owner journey for ROYAL CANIN and EUKANUBA brands in Canada. This position is a part of the Brand and Pet Owner (BAPO) team and will collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and agencies to plan, implement and measure digital media programs and web experiences to support business objectives that drive strategic vision.

What are we looking for?Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in communications, marketing, digital or related field preferred.6+ years of experience overall and 4+ years of experience in Digital Media (programmatic, social, content, DCO, SEM) expertise in the Canadian market is required.Broader digital experience in SEO, UI/UX, CRM, analytics and workflow management is a plus/Professional certification in digital, SEO/SEM or analytics an asset.Experience directing work and overseeing agency resource engagement and performance is required.Ability to work independently & collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to influence without direct authority and drive forward specific business objectives.Experience working & navigating within a multi-national corporate environment a plus.Comfort articulating complex challenges &/or solutions to stakeholders and higher management and ability to drive change through effective storytelling.CPG &/or science-based consumer brand experience preferred.Digital agency &/or tech experience an asset.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Media Strategy and Oversight (25%)

Drives tactical media planning through agency partners in response to marketing objectives and strategies provided in activation briefs. Challenges and builds on agency recommendations as needed to effectively and efficiently capitalize on opportunities and solve business challenges. Oversees and communicates media agency timelines and coordinates proper media agency representation in meetings. Serves as internal media expert in relation to targeting, delivery and ad format capabilities within digital media channels.

Campaign Execution (25%)

Collaborates with agencies, Digital Technologies and others in BAPO to implement paid activation programs to support the aims of planned media campaigns. Oversees the quality of specifications and traffic requests from media agency to creative agencies as well as the accuracy of ad operations and campaign deployment. Manages creative transcreation workflow of globally or regionally created campaign assets.

Measurement & Stakeholder Integration (25%) 

Oversees KPI and goal definitions for media campaigns through agency partners in alignment with global best practices. Optimizes and maintains a system of reports, studies and discussions that monitor short-term progress as well as glean and capitalize on long-term insights for creative and media. Keeps stakeholders consulted and aware through key media decisions and recommendations. Supports ad hoc requests to provide media plan and performance visibility to the business as needed for broader team and customer shares.

Paid Search Optimization (15%)

Executes global and regional strategic vision in paid search through agency partners. Leverages local business objectives and context to prioritize queries and connect incremental web traffic to relevant content experiences to drive brand equity and product consideration in collaboration with NA Performance Marketing Manager. Is accountable for ensuring continuous optimization mindset with search efforts.

Best Practice & Knowledge Sharing (10%)

Follows industry trends, facilitates learning among broader marketing team, and collaborates regarding best practices with global and other countries (i.e. US).
