The Marketing Team, within the Strategic, Community & Specialized Pharmacy (SCS) segment at McKesson, is seeking a Digital Content Manager. The Digital Content Manager will be responsible for managing and executing our digital content strategy to enhance brand awareness, engage our audience, and drive traffic to our digital platforms. This role requires a combination of creativity, strategic thinking, and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content creation, digital marketing, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Content Management
Execute content updates through Content Management Systems (CMSs).
Manage content governance through CMSs to ensure content is legally compliant and current.
Oversee the content calendar to ensure timely delivery and updates of content across all digital channels.
Manage the content approval process, working closely with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Content Creation
Create, edit, and publish high-quality, engaging content for various digital platforms, including websites, customer portals, blogs, social media, and email campaigns.
Ensure all content is consistent with the brand voice, style, and tone.
SEO & Analytics
Implement SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines and improve organic search rankings.
Monitor and analyze content performance of B2B and B2C external sites using analytics tools, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies.
Continuous Improvement
Continuously seek opportunities to improve content quality, engagement, and overall digital presence and metrics.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital content management to ensure our digital solutions are current.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field or the equivalent experience.
Critical Skills
Proven experience as a Digital Content Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio of digital content.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress, Agility and Optimizely.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
Experience with digital media management tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Log Rocket, Semrush).
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
Experience with graphic design and video/audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic web development principles.
Knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Marketo, Survey Monkey, Mail Chimp)
