The Communications Department is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and motivated Digital Content Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the digital content strategy for The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory's intranet digital channels. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital content, a self-starter, and able to think both strategically and analytically. Extensive experience in content management, particularly with Digital Asset Management systems and SharePoint for internal audiences, is essential.

 

As the primary digital content manager for The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory’s internal informational sites, the candidate must excel at multitasking, organization, and quick adaptation to changes. This position also plans and executes the overall support and user interface strategy to enhance brand awareness, information dissemination, and engagement.

 

The role requires collaboration with multiple departments, so exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills are crucial.

 

Based in West Nyack, NY this position requires approximately 35 hours of work per week and is hybrimay be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite).

Responsibilities Develop and maintain various digital content sites, i.e. USE-Portal, USE-tools and future intranetsManage digital content across cross-functional teams, primarily involving internal departments.Facilitate and participate in reviews of visual design, UX, and development deliverables.Develop, implement, and manage the digital content strategy for The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory’s internal digital channels in collaboration with the Marketing and Branding Director.Update and maintain corporate-wide digital signage.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and territorial departments to deliver clear messaging.Research and analyze trends to inform content strategies.Ensure content is accurate, relevant and adheres to The Salvation Army brand guidelines.Generate reports on content effectiveness and recommend improvements.Ensure content displays correctly across various devices and platforms.Ensure content complies with any legal and governance standardsEstablish and maintain content workflows and approval processesEnhance user engagement through content layout and functionality Qualifications Bachelor's Degree3-5 years of related experiencePassionate about digital content, a self-starter, and capable of strategic and analytical thinking.Strong understanding of Digital Asset Management systems, analytics, SharePoint, and digital media platforms.Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.Effective communication skills for collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.Experience in content development and familiarity with digital media tools, including video and graphic design.Professional attitude, strong teamwork capabilities, and a commitment to delivering results in a fast-paced environment.Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to produce high-quality content.Moderate skill level with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.)Working knowledge of social media content editing tools like Canva and Cap CutExtensive Knowledge of SharePoint and Digital Assess Management sitesStrong written and verbal communication skillsOrganized with a strong attention to detailAble to work independently and with a team successfullyContinuous learner with a growth mindsetTeam player with an upbeat, positive attitude
