Digital Delivery Analyst – Solution Designer/Developer

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in AWS, .NET, C++, and C# to join our dynamic Sales and Marketing IT team. In this role, you will contribute to both the development of new applications and play a crucial part in supporting and modernizing our existing systems built on legacy technologies. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects aimed at migrating these systems to modern architectures, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices. Your passion for building robust applications in our Petro Canada Retail and Wholesale environments will be key as you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet our business needs and advance our technical roadmaps. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.

Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns

Proficiency in C++, C#, .NET framework, and ASP.NET Core | Open-source web framework for .NET

Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.

Working knowledge of database concepts: indexing; query plans and query hints; locking; transaction isolation levels; normalization

Strong experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, optimization).

Additional Skills:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, developer automation, and automated testing tools.

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience in migrating legacy systems to cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub.

Familiarity with basic concurrency concepts (threads, locks, mutexes)

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.

Support incident management and resolution to minimize downtime.

Required to provide after hours support on a rotational basis

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Design, develop, and maintain solutions using a modern technology stack

Implement front-end components using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).

Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.

Utilize AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) for cloud-based application deployment and management.

Implement security best practices throughout the development process.

Adhere to and advance our software development practices including pattern development, conducting code reviews,, defining reusable patterns, automated testing, and adopting promising technologies and practices.

Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly interfaces.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.

Location and other Key Details:

You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

This is an office based role, hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
