The need to engage in digital channels to connect and communicate with consumers is rapidly increasing and becoming more sophisticated. The digital engagement space is continuously evolving – new products in the marketplace, new and changing platforms, change, new data to report and new ways to interact with customers. Lilly recognizes the need to be present in Direct to Consumer (DTC) marketing, informing and connecting with Healthcare Professionals (HCP) and Disease state awareness through digital channels such as Websites, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and Social Media (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, WeChat, WhatsApp, etc.). We strive to meet the needs of today’s consumers when and where they want to engage, with personalized content.

Role:

As Digital Engagement Lead, you'll oversee global marketing and disease education websites for Lilly, ensuring they are developed, maintained, and retired per policy. This fast-paced role requires expertise in front-end development, social media, and SEO, as well as collaboration with delivery leads, designers, account managers, and stakeholders. This role will primarily focus on front end website capabilities with an opportunity to support and integrate with search, social, data, and personalization teams, aligning with business priorities. This role also involves coordinating across global teams, affiliates, and brands to ensure the seamless development and scaling of digital platforms, and fostering alignment across business objectives and technical capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Serving as the lead for the development of websites in partnership with developers and Marketing account managersEvaluating potential use cases for new capabilities and managing key prioritization/trade off discussions for new website work Lead the definition and gathering of requirements and propose changes to existing services and capabilities where applicable Help define and lead future state website strategy and coach/develop junior developers on the teamAccountable to drive digital innovation, at scale, and serve as a change agent throughout the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Information technology or Computer Science.8+ years in building responsive, user-friendly web applications, with significant expertise in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and frameworks (React.js, Redux).Proficient in AWS, Adobe Experience Manager, REST APIs, JavaScript profiling, and memory/page speed optimization.Experience in building reusable UI components, component-based UI frameworks, and style components; deep understanding of application vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF) and secure web application development.Strong understanding of Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager for tracking and optimizing website performance.Proven ability to lead a development team, manage deliverables, and communicate with senior business stakeholders across multiple brands and affiliates.Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in multiple countries, ensuring smooth communication and technical alignment across brands and regions.Serve as the technical product owner, translating business requirements into technical solutions, prioritizing tasks, and driving the development process.Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, while managing stakeholder expectations and aligning solutions with business goals.Comfortable navigating new technologies and working in an agile environment, balancing competing priorities and fast-paced timelines.Implement best practices for secure coding and adherence to web accessibility standards, ensuring a robust and user-friendly digital experience.

Additional Preferences:

MBA(or equivalent) degree additional to above mentioned educational criteria.Experience with 2D visualization libraries like D3 is a plusExperience with Adobe products and/or personalization technologyExperience with Content Management Systems5+ years in a Digital Marketing, Program Management, or Information and Digital Solutions organizationDemonstrated understanding of the consumer marketing channels and business areas Experience working directly with the US affiliate, Corporate Communications, and global teams, and engaging with business stakeholders directly for day-to-day operationsDemonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, constantly evolving environmentExperience with Accessibility designExperience working with AdTech or digital marketing technologies a plus  Experience in working in Scrum - Agile methodologies Experience working with social, search and web analytics technologiesExperience in development and deployment on cloud infrastructureStrong verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detailHave strong self-management skills and ability to work in ambiguity Experience working with stakeholders in different countriesPharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
