Job Description
A top automotive client is looking to hire a Digital Engineering Technician to join their Simultaneous Engineering group. This resource will be responsible for developing virtual robotic programs to support New Model implementations for manufacturing centers across the nation.
This role will also include programming robots at manufacturing or vendor facilities, supporting equipment preparation, other production related studies, development of Weld Schedules, and department efficiency/improvement initiatives. This resource will be supporting the U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as internationally including Japan, Canada, Mexico
Other responsibilities
-Support Machine Seibi in new model preparation activities, including programming robots at vendor
locations or manufacturing centers
- Prepare and confirm new or modified Body Weld equipment at the vendors or manufacturing centers
- Develop equipment countermeasures during planning/set-up/trial phases
- Conduct DE study to produce virtual robot programs and confirm new model process feasibility
- Confirm Digital Factory Condition for accuracy
- Create Weld Schedule Instruction Sheets and provide other supplemental documents to customers

Skills and Requirements
- 3+ years experience with robotic programming (Kawasaki and Nachi robots preferred)
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Ability to read blueprints (autocad) and documents - Degree in Robotics
- Experience in Material Handling
- Welding/Spotwelding Experience
- Background in PLC's (Toyopuc, Allen Bradley, etc.)
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally null
