About the role

As a Digital Front-End Developer within the Optimisation team, this role is primarily to support the A/B testing programme by building best in class optimisations via our A/B testing tool Webtrends Optimize. This role will play an essential part in the end-to-end Digital optimisation & development cycle.

 

Key Responsibilities

Building A/B tests within Webtrends Optimize to support our end-to-end Digital optimisation & development cycle. Build strong relationships with Product, UX, IT and Development functions to ensure that tests are built and deployed onto site to the highest standards, ensuring familiarity with our existing codebase to avoid on-site issues. Ensure all code conforms to industry best practice, is optimised for core web vitals and provides a first-class user experience. Support the Digital team to ensure that all tests are delivered on time, to brand/ UX/UI guidelines, ensuring this meets customer expectations. Set and manage approval deadlines & ensure timely, appropriate sign off has been obtained for all work. Support the development roadmap, working closely with UX, UI and designers to ensure that all build work is carried out on time and to brief. Support the QA process for the team, performing timely checks on website code – identifying, highlighting and correcting issues as appropriate.

 

Skills & Experience

•  HTML and CSS
• JavaScript, jQuery

Experience using A/B testing tools, ideally Webtrends Optimise A good working knowledge of e-commerce platforms Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills Responsive design UI & UX design principles, including wire framing, mobile first & user-centric design Confidence to plan and delegate tasks Inquisitive and determined Demonstrable relevant industry experience, ideally in a retail or e-commerce business Problem solving skills through understanding of Digital systems and metrics The ability to think creatively and deliver clever concepts The foresight to put themselves in the shoes of the user
