As a **PD EDA Development Tech Lead** , you will be **leading** the development of Physical Design solutions across **all** process nodes at TI.
+ Work with cross-functional teams within EDA and internal customers and stakeholders in IP and SoC design teams to define and develop physical design solutions to improve PPA and Cycle Time
+ Collaborate with Advanced Technology Group and PDK teams to develop and maintain tech-files by comprehending Design Rule Checks (DRC) across multiple TI internal process nodes and external foundry process nodes (16nm to 180nm)
+ Develop differentiated solutions for low power designs, high performance designs and low cost/area designs. Drive development, integration and deployment of AI/ML solutions for improving design PPA, cycle time and design productivity.
+ PPA Benchmarking and continuous improvement to the flow to deliver best-in-class PPA and feedback to Library development teams.
+ P&R Tool qualification and correlation with signoff tools for Timing and DRC Checks
+ Drive new capabilities in vendor tools, evaluate and integrate in TI Flows
+ Develop unit & regression test cases for tools
+ Create automations for the build and release of tools
+ Create user documentation and training material for new features and tools for customers

**Minimum requirements:**
+ **Bachelor’s degree** in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field of study
+ **8-10 years** of relevant experience like hands-on physical design or PDK development (layout, DRC, LVS) experience combined with a passion for automation
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Good CMOS circuits basics and simulation experience
+ Good understanding of backend flow and the steps involved in physical design & verification
+ Good understanding of layout concepts including DRC and LVS debugs and fixing
+ Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Strong software development and programming skills
+ Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions (PDK and Process development)
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
+ Ability to take the initiative and drive to results
+ Skills to manage time and multi-task at work
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Teamwork is imperative in this role
**Preferred skills/experience:**
+ **8-10 years** of experience in EDA development in Backend (Physical Design)
+ Experience with Cadence design tools (Virtuoso, ICFB, Innovus etc.) for digital and analog/mixed-signal IC design
+ Experience in floor-planning, power routing, clock tree synthesis and optimization of designs
+ Good understanding of industry standards and models: OA, LEF, DEF, GDS, Verilog, Liberty
+ Programming languages: Tcl, Perl, Python & Cadence SKILL
