Digital Imaging Specialist

Job Description:

The Imaging Coordinator I supports the manager in accomplishing the mission of the organization by leading frontline caregivers to ensure optimal; safety, quality, satisfaction, engagement, compliance, operations, staffing, processes, efficiency, training, mentoring, etc. Role may include one or more imaging modalities. Fundamentally coordinates the daily team activities.

Scope

As a Digital Imaging Specialist you need to know how to:

Verify identities of patients to ensure accuracy of records transferred to/from outside facilities.Verify and track orders, including but not limited to; matching up images with orders, placing images in proper order, report disbursement, and preparation of call reports.Assist patients as necessary.Maintain knowledge of anatomy and exam types.Maintain knowledge of HIPAA regulations and apply this knowledge appropriately.Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with nursing, staff, and other patient care members and coworkers.Assist coworkers in completing their duties to promote effective teamwork.Take the initiative to solve problems including, but not limited to, equipment, maintenance, and staffing issues.

High School Diploma or equivalent, requiredMinimum of one (1) year of work experience in a comparable setting, required

Physical RequirementsFrequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$16.83 - $21.88
