**DESCRIPTION**
Lead manufacturing team to identify and implement advanced or complex digital design manufacturing and electronics solutions. Utilize Manufacturing Analysis Led Design to model and simulate manufacturing processes, equipment and performance to make data driven decisions before changes are made and to drive continuous improvements. Demonstrate advanced comprehensive electronics and manufacturing knowledge for the application of digital tools. Apply comprehensive knowledge or use of digital technology as it applies to manufacturing in a wide range of work situations. Apply Manufacturing Prognostics techniques in the applications of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and product quality and use advanced analytics and artificial intelligence technologies to reduce risks, project future failures to eliminate unplanned equipment and systems down time. Integrate the total impact of digital manufacturing technology as it applies to advanced or new manufacturing solutions for a safe environment while balancing cost, quality, and delivery. Serve as the technical expert for one or more manufacturing digital disciplines. Develop, advise and recommend long term resolutions to systemic manufacturing problems and drive standardization for manufacturing. Develop and implement Controls System Security by specifying, reviewing and approving company-owned and/or supplier designs for new equipment or upgrades to existing equipment to ensure our manufacturing controls and systems are secure. Implement changes to further automate manufacturing processes using Factory Automation and Control Systems techniques and identify needed material and resources for project completion to provide the optimum automation for the manufacturing environment. Utilize knowledge of Data Mining to extract insights from data by identifying relationships and patterns through use of data exploration and data visualization techniques to understand the underlying structure of the data and enable sound conclusions upon model building. Manage projects in a cross functional environment and lead matrixed and dotted line teams. Utilize lean manufacturing principles to collaborate and/or solve complex manufacturing issues and provide solutions across the organization network. Select and apply Sensor Technology performing measurements in the acquired data that leads to the correct analysis and conclusion to help differentiate products that meet quality standards from non-conforming products. Utilize knowledge of Controls Networking to implement new and improved technologies and methods capable of transferring information from multiple inputs either within a local production process or into databases to link machines together or to analyze the process for overall operation enhancements.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Positions require a Master’s degree in Manufacturing or Electronics Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Controls, Electronics or Manufacturing Engineer, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Electronics Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Controls, Electronics or Manufacturing Engineer, or related position. Experience to include: Manufacturing Analysis Led Design; Manufacturing Prognostics techniques; Artificial intelligence technologies; Controls System Security; Factory Automation and Control Systems; Data Mining and data visualization techniques; Lean manufacturing principles; Sensor Technology and measurement; Controls Networking.
