Description of Work Unit
It is the mission of this department to provide safe, efficient multi-modal access to campus and manage parking resources to support campus activities and enhance life in the university community. The department is a self-funded auxiliary of Colorado State University that supports all maintenance and operations as they relate to transportation services on campus.
Position Summary
The Digital Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support the marketing and communications efforts of Colorado State University’s Parking and Transportation Services. In addition to managing digital marketing campaigns, this role includes essential communication assistant functions, such as administrative support, assisting with media relations, and handling day-to-day content distribution. The coordinator will focus on promoting parking services, transportation options, and event-related logistics while supporting internal and external communications across campus.
This position will collaborate closely with various university teams and stakeholders, ensuring the department’s messaging is consistent, professional, and aligned with CSU’s brand guidelines.
Required Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field.
+ 2 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, public relations, or as a communications assistant.
+ Experience managing digital campaigns, social media content, and website updates.
+ Experience providing administrative and communication support in a professional setting.
Preferred Job Qualifications
+ Previous experience in higher education or transportation services is preferred.
+ Proficiency in using content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
+ Strong writing and editing skills, with experience creating newsletters, press releases, and blog posts.
+ Experience in event promotion and logistics support.
+ Experience managing marketing or communications projects from start to finish.
+ Experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting on digital campaign metrics.
