Summary
Position Highlights:
The Digital Marketing and Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the fundraising initiatives of the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation. This position is responsible for the Foundation's digital marketing strategy and provides significant input and oversight for all content for the Foundation's website and its extensions.
The Digital Marketing and Communications Manager maintains primary responsibility for all email marketing campaigns, managing online donation forms and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms, shooting, editing and producing compelling video projects, and manages the Foundation's MoffittNet sites and content. The primary objective of this role is to advance the acquisition of new donors and supporters through strategic and digital communications while elevating donor stewardship, driving engagement, and boosting fundraising event awareness and participation.
Select Responsibilities:
Digital Platform Oversight
Provides oversight for the Foundation's project management, video stewardship, and email marketing platforms including budgetary responsibility, contract management and negotiation, platform management, and ongoing needs and optimization assessment.
Digital Strategy
Responsible for the Foundation's digital communications strategy by working in tandem with Strategic Communications and Marketing to ensure the strategy is global, cohesive and timely across Moffitt platforms. This includes optimizing fundraising messaging and donation capabilities through the Foundation website.
Email Marketing and Communications
Takes primary responsibility for the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Foundation's digital communications and engagement program. Manages email communications, creating impactful campaigns to engage donors and supporters and accomplish specific goals, such as event registrations, donations, and newsletter views.
Digital Fundraising
Creates, manages and oversees online donation forms, optimizing the donation process for greater exposure and increased conversions. Leads peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives on platforms including Classy and Thankview. Initiates and manages internal and external marketing campaigns highlighting Classy peer-to-peer fundraising opportunities for third party fundraisers and memorial campaigns.
Credentials and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required in fundraising, marketing/PR, communications, web development, or other related fields. Minimum of five (5) years directly related experience in digital marketing and communications is required. Inclusive of leading/managing digital marketing projects including cross-functional project teams. Demonstrated proficiency in managing online communities, digital strategy and brand awareness. Experience with online giving and an understanding of how online content, communications, and appeals drive fundraising results. Experience with online peer-to-peer fundraising platforms. Strong editing and communications skills written, oral, and listening. Project management experience is critical. Proficiency in video editing and production, with the ability to create impactful multimedia content. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture. A good eye for layout and graphics, attention to detail, creativity, and a talent for producing sharp, well-crafted communications for online channels such as email, websites, and social media. Familiar with SEO/SEM best practices. Familiarity and understanding of sophisticated digital segmentation strategies for donor stewardship, retention, acquisition, and upgrades.
Preferred:
Extensive knowledge and fluency with electronic customer relationship management software such as Blackbaud products, as well as additional email engagement platforms such as Emma or ThankView. HTML and basic web design skills are highly desired. Extensive knowledge and fluency with web design content management systems, such as Optimizely. Experience with peer-to-peer digital fundraising software such as Classy. Familiarity with Google Analytics and other data analytics experience a plus. Light graphic design experience preferred, such as Adobe Creative Suite products.
