Digital Marketing Coordinator, Enrollment Management

Position Title:  Digital Marketing Coordinator

Department:    Enrollment Management

Reports to:       Director of Admission Technology and Operations

Appointment:   Full-Time (12 months) 

Status:              Exempt

The Division of Enrollment Management invites applications for the position of Digital Marketing Coordinator.   This position will be based on campus in the Visitor’s Center (Peoria, IL). In this role you will oversee all aspects of email marketing campaigns, including market research, content creation, and the dissemination of copy.

The position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

Produce and execute all email and SMS campaigns, including building emails from templates and HTML, copywriting, asset coordination, QA, and schedulingSupport undergraduate and graduate admission via manual and triggered campaigns Devise and execute A/B tests, manage testing calendar, record results, and advise on improvements. Testing includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, enrollment cohorts, send time, and new features intended to drive engagementDevelop and prepare reporting tools for Enrollment ManagementCoordinate electronic communication and social media to prospective students and their familiesWork with staff to facilitate communication flow with prospective students and their familiesMaintain Undergraduate and Graduate Admission communication calendar and ensure adherence to timelines for all print, email, on/off campus invitations and mailingsCreate and edit recruitment content for print and emailServe as back-up for report generation which includes data entry and diagnosis of any discrepancies to ensure reporting accuracy

Qualifications:  

A bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant work experience is requiredExperience managing an email marketing campaignExperience building an email marketing campaign from scratch preferredProven work experience in growing, engaging with, and analyzing the performance of a large email marketing databaseKnowledge of Slate (CRM) preferredProficiency with MS Office productsExperience with the use and management of relational databasesAbility to use good judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsMust possess good active listening, critical thinking, and interpersonal skillsAbility to present information in a clear, concise manner both in writing and verbally for decision-making and reporting purposesAbility to manage multiple priorities in an organized, efficient and accurate mannerMust possess a great eye for detail and strong grammatical skillsMust exhibit excellent time management skills and the ability to work independentlyEnergized in team settings, exemplifies leadership characteristics in team structures
