Key Responsibilities:

Purpose of Position

Digital Media & Creative Design Officer will support the Resource Acquisition and Communications Department and will focus on creative graphic design and keep the WVZ website UpToDate. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a commitment to WVZ’s mission, creating engaging and informative visual content (both print and digital) that helps raise awareness, promote initiatives, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, the community and internal departments.

Duties and responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the creation of all design materials for various uses such as in- and out-door materials, social media posts, blog content, reports, capacity statements, videos and more more.Collaborate with program teams to develop visual materials for campaigns, events, and outreach programs.Ensure all designs illustrate and enhance communication around World Vision's work on issues affecting children, and their communities.Ensure fresh content on WVZ website, provide website insights and recommend and implement strategies and methods for improvement.Ensure in-and out-door materials are stored, labeled and accounted for.Ensure brand consistency in line with the WVI brand guidelines incorporating typography, handling and manipulation of images, freehand graphics, and various design elements.Prepares final layout print-ready files.Stay up to date with technologies and latest trendsWork to improve the WVZ brand presencePerform any other duties as assignedSome travel may be required for field visits or events.

Professional Qualifications/Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

A Degree (preferably in Graphic Design, Marketing or Communication)Qualification and experience in web design or animation is an added advantageMinimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an NGO or nonprofit setting.Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite Applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw), or other design softwareExperience managing a websiteA team player who is also a critical thinker and problem-solverA keen eye for aesthetics and detailsAbility to take criticism, work methodically and meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsMust be a committed ChristianMust be a member of a relevant professional body
