We are seeking a Digital Print Technician to work in our Owatonna, MN facility. This employee will provide digital printing services to include database creation/manipulation, variable intelligent printing and custom digital black printing. Interacts with production personnel to insure coordination of digital printing with other manufacturing activities. Utilizes experience to improve operations and service to customers. The Digital Print Technician will also be cross trained and capable of assisting in both traditional digital print and DPL production. Receives minimal instruction. May be designated as a “lead” worker. Adapts procedures, processes and techniques to meet the more difficult requirements of the position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize designated software to manipulate the customer supplied database files in preparation for digital print services.
Provides leadership to internal and external customers in the proper formatting of supplied data to ensure the most efficient digital print solution.
Performs daily operation of the digital printing equipment.
Assists in the development of customer projects and proposals.
Records time and materials associated with completing jobs.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or 4-5 years of experience of print operation a plus, but not required.
Digital Print experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of the following:
Print Services forms design software.
Database manipulation software.
Word processing software.
Thorough knowledge of:
Scannable design requirements.
Specifications and capabilities of Print Services scanners/software.
Print Services manufacturing capabilities and standards.
Operation of a Xerox 6180 digital print system.
