Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced API Marketplace Product Owner to lead the development and management of third-party integrations (e.g., FSM) within our ecommerce platform. This role will also play a key part in the commercialization of these integrations, driving both technical and business success for our API marketplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in API management, third-party integrations, and ecommerce platforms. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integrations that enhance the user experience while also contributing to the platform’s revenue growth through commercialization strategies.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Effectively communicate the API Marketplace product vision and strategy to the technology team, ensuring seamless alignment with overarching business goals.Meticulously maintain and prioritize the API Marketplace product backlog, ensuring its alignment with the overall product strategy and key business priorities.Lead the development, management, and continuous improvement of the API marketplace, focusing on third-party integrations with our ecommerce platform.Orchestrate feature development in DevOps and provide guidance to business analysts for crafting clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria. Offer the development team the necessary details for seamless feature implementation.Own vendor management relationship with external partners (such as FSMs, Walmart, Amazon etc.), ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process that meets both technical and business requirements.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, and product teams, to ensure the successful execution of integration projects aligned with business goals.Gather and analyze customer feedback, using insights to drive continuous improvements in the API marketplace and integration offerings.Cultivate robust technical relationships with vendors and serve as the product representative throughout the entire product lifecycle, including design, development, testing, release, updates, and ongoing lifecycle management.Collaborate with the development team to meticulously plan and prioritize releases, ensuring timely delivery of the most valuable features.Define meticulous acceptance criteria, actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide sign-off once delivered features meet the specified requirements.Monitor and report on the performance of third-party integrations, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to both technical success and commercialization efforts.Support the go-to-market and commercialization efforts for integrated products, working closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to maximize adoption and revenue

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job may have supervisory responsibilities overseeing one or 2 team members depending on team structure.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
There may be limited travel required for this position. Possible travel could include 3 to 5 trips annually for commercialization activities.

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $97,600 - $128,100 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on API management, third-party integrations, and ecommerce platforms.Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role in an Agile development environment.Experience in commercializing technical products and driving user adoption.Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with tools such as DevOps, Jira, or similar project management tools.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and follow written procedures consistently and accurately. Ability to effectively communicate information in response to questions from team members, managers, customers, sales reps, both verbally and in written correspondence. Ability to maintain calm under pressure and communicate respectfully and cooperatively with other team members.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to apply problem-solving skills to reach reasonable and timely solutions when faced with problems that require a service-minded attitude.
