Uncover Local Gems: Build and maintain a network of sources to generate fresh, unique story ideas. Capture the Moment: Write with urgency and creativity, producing thoughtful, voice-driven content. Bring Stories to Life: Use photos, videos, and social media to craft dynamic, multi-dimensional storytelling. Collaborate Across Teams: Work with newsroom colleagues on shared projects to deliver impactful reporting.  

Who You Are

Culturally Connected: You’re familiar with Fredericksburg and Hill Country culture or eager to immerse yourself in it. Digital-Savvy: You understand social media’s role in audience engagement and use it to amplify your stories. Creative Storyteller: You excel at creating voice-driven pieces that resonate with both local and national audiences. Multi-Platform Reporter: You enjoy enhancing your reporting with photos, videos, and other multimedia elements. Experienced Journalist: You bring 2-3 years of digital media experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and proficiency in AP style.
