What you will be doing:
As a member of the Digital Service Team for Manufacturing, you will proactively identify and guide the implementation of digital capabilities to improve processes and services. You will leverage your expertise in technology with your business acumen as you partner with manufacturing to create a digital roadmap and execution plan that elevates capabilities.
What does it take to be successful?
Digital Transformation Strategy: You will develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy. This involves identifying opportunities to leverage digital technologies, defining the roadmap for implementation, and aligning the strategy with overall company objectives.
Technology Evaluation & Selection: You would assess and select appropriate digital tools, software, and platforms. This includes evaluating technologies to enable shop floor execution systems, Time Series historians and analytics platforms, Laboratory information management systems, field technologies like mobility and wearables as well as warehouse execution solutions.
Technical Expertise: Experience implementing technical solutions (i.e., manufacturing execution systems, data historians, data analytics and visualization, mobility, IoT, and other emerging digital technologies. System Integration: You would ensure seamless integration of digital systems and tools with existing processes. This involves working closely with IT teams and stakeholders to define integration requirements, establish data flows, and ensure compatibility between different systems.
Process Optimization: You would analyze existing manufacturing workflows and identify areas for improvement by leveraging digital technologies.
Data Management and Analytics: By collaborating with data experts, you would provide analytical tools to derive insights to optimize decision-making, identify AI/ML opportunities, and improve overall performance.
Collaboration and Communication: You would drive effective collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams, in addition to communicating digital capabilities to business leaders to influence strategy and decision making.
Change Management: You would play a key role in driving organizational change by promoting the adoption of digital technologies and new ways of working. This includes providing guidance and support to employees and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Security and Risk Management: You would work with Eastman’s Information Security Organization to ensure the security of digital systems and data related to manufacturing activities. This involves implementing appropriate security measures, addressing potential risks, and complying with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications
+ Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Science/Information Systems preferred)
+ 6+ years of experience in a related field pertaining to:
+ Introducing and leveraging digital technologies to optimize processes and drive innovation.
+ Expertise in or ability to quickly learn business processes across production execution, quality management, and inventory stocking and retrieval.
+ Strong technical knowledge of system architecture, programming, cloud computing, integration and security.
+ Hands On Experience with:
+ Manufacturing Execution Systems (Experience with one or more software below):
+ SAP MII/ SAP Digital Manufacturing, AVEVA, GE Proficy, Parsec TrakSYS, Honeywell, Emerson
+ SAP Warehouse Management /SAP Direct Materials Module/SAP QM Module
+ Thermo Fisher Sample Manager LIMS Software or Labware
+ AVEVA PI Data Historian
+ Implementing C1D1 Mobile Device in Operations.
+ Communication, initiative, and relational skills are essential to influence overall digital strategy for manufacturing.
