Digital Solutions Architect

JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Lead the development of application and system roadmaps, guiding the transformation and modernization of applications.
+ Oversee the architecture and design of critical Digital systems across various areas within AAA Club Alliance.
+ Manage application solution designs that align with content and information management initiatives for both internal and external content distribution.
+ Architect, design, and enhance existing information layouts and displays in alignment with user experience (UX) trends and principles.
+ Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT development teams to create flexible, adaptable, modular, and reusable solution designs that align with enterprise architecture standards.
+ Support the definition of high-level operational models and prepare business cases, ensuring alignment with IT security and quality guidelines. Present these cases for approval, funding, and prioritization of operational and tactical technical initiatives.
+ Uphold solution architecture governance processes and tools, prioritizing design patterns and technology standards.
+ Take accountability for the finalization, acceptance, and approval of solutions, engaging with relevant stakeholders throughout the process.
+ Act as a catalyst for Agile and DevSecOps practices, collaborating with product delivery and operation support teams.
+ Explore, evaluate, and champion technology innovation within the organization.
+ Review high-level designs with technical leads and developers, enforce best practices, assist with debugging critical issues, and ensure performance testing for efficient applications.
+ Identify technology risks in initiatives and develop corresponding mitigation strategies.
+ Stay current on cutting-edge technologies, evaluating and recommending their use based on technical pros and limitations. Leverage market and technology trends to identify business benefits of alternative technical solutions.
+ Support the requirements gathering process to right-size initiatives and shape solution strategy.
+ Collaborate with development teams to apply Agile and DevSecOps techniques within architecture and designs.
+ Create comprehensive solution architecture specification documents and other necessary documentation.
+ Maintain a business unit-level repository of architecture assets, promoting reuse across the organization.
+ Align with and adhere to AAA Club Alliance governance processes and tools while maintaining a key focus on design patterns and technology standards.
+ Serve as a liaison between diverse business and IT teams, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, problem-solving, designing common reusable assets, and maximizing the use of existing capabilities and frameworks.
+ Work closely with project managers and delivery leads to identify key design activities and owners, ensuring alignment and feasibility.
+ Support the infrastructure DevSecOps team by defining all non-functional system requirements for the initiative and ensuring their fulfillment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related field
+ Desirable to have completed Master degree or work in progress towards a graduate degree
+ 5 + years of experience in a development environment in various technologies, focusing on Architecture, System Architecture, IT Operations, and System Development
+ Knowledge of Database Architecture and Development Concepts
+ Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns
+ Expertise in Cloud Computing
+ Familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle processes
+ Familiarity with Dev Ops and CI/CD Pipelines
+ Experience with API design and development
+ Professional Certification in at least one major development tool is required, with 3 or more preferred
+ In depth experience with design, development, testing and administration of various types of systems, deploying large-scale applications, and databases.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
+ Strong knowledge and experience with website development, design, and maintenance.
+ Proficiency in development technologies, Java, .Net including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and CMS systems (Sitecore, AEM).
+ Knowledge of software development life cycle, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
+ Expert knowledge with data and/or business modeling toolsAbility to analyze and solve complex problems related to website development and maintenance.
+ Familiarity with website security best practices and techniques.
+ Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
+ Proficiency in working with databases and SQL.
+ Strong technical expertise in infrastructure, hardware, software, and systems
+ Understanding of accessibility and SEO principles for websites.
+ Experience with website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics.
+ Ability to keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends.
+ Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
