Job Description
We are looking for an innovative and forward-thinking Digital Specialist (m|f|d) - Finance / Digital Transformation Manager (m|f|d) who will actively shape the digitalization and automation of our financial processes. In this position, you will drive the digital transformation of processes in the areas of controlling, reporting, and other related areas. You will be responsible for the conception and implementation of automation and digitalization projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and continuously optimize data-driven strategies — with the goal of sustainably improving efficiency and decision-making processes throughout the company.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will identify automation projects in the areas of controlling/finance as well as related areas such as commercial project management, project management, or procurement/supply chain management. This includes designing and implementing automated workflows to optimize processes such as data entry, reconciliation, and reporting. You will integrate financial data from various sources, including the ERP system, and create comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will develop and maintain dashboards and automated reporting tools using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. In collaboration with internal departments, you will ensure data integrity and consistency, supporting the implementation of data governance practices. You will work closely with the IT department to ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations. You will actively participate in cost center controlling and contribute to the development of this process. Moreover, you will continuously evaluate and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will translate business requirements into data-driven solutions and automate them. You will also work closely with the EMEA Finance community to develop and implement pilot projects in other operating units within the region.
Your Profile
You have a bachelor's degree in business informatics, finance, economics, computer science, data science, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications would be an advantage. You have at least three years of professional experience in a similar industry in the areas of controlling, reporting, accounting, finance, or a similar role, ideally with a strong focus on digitalization, process optimization, and financial data analysis. A consulting background in management or corporate consulting would be advantageous, but it is not a requirement. You have proven hands-on experience in implementing and managing process automation (projects), and you are familiar with RPA tools and ideally have knowledge of generative AI technologies. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is also one of your strengths. In addition, you possess solid technical know-how in the creation and practical implementation of RPA solutions (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, BluePrism), BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and Excel skills, including VBA for automation. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R, as well as experience with project management software solutions (e.g., EcoSys, Prism/Contruent), is advantageous. You have a strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and data management practices. For this position, excellent English skills in both spoken and written form are required. We expect a moderate willingness to travel of about 10%. Your strong analytical skills, the ability to clearly convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders, as well as your independence and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, round off your profile.
