JOB TITLE : Digital Technologist - Digital Systems and Business Analyst

LOCATION: Colworth Science Park, Bedford

JOB PURPOSE:

Key to our future Innovation and the development of high quality, innovative and cost-effective ice cream products is the ability to innovate at speedthrough the use of Digital Tools.

This position sits within the Ice Cream Global Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) Team in Colworth, Sharnbrook, UK.  The successful candidate will work as part of the Digital and Data Team andwork collaboratively with people across a range of roles in RD&Iincluding:Formulation and IngredientExperts, Product Developers in Global and Regional Teams, central IT and Third Party Partners.

The applicant needs to employ system and business analysis skills and have a passion to embrace a Digital Mindsetto support the Digital Agenda and create and co-develop new Digital Tools and solutions tosupport the needs of the RD&I community.  The applicant will have the opportunity to work with avariety of different teams to deliver meaningful Business Impact through current and new Digital Tool development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the delivery of the Ice Cream Research, Development & Innovation ('RD&I')Digital Programme.

Explore, analyse and define digital approaches across RD&I and embed Digital mindset. 

Partner with Global users, capability teams and Third Parties to define, create and co-develop Digital Tools with the end user needs and experience top of mind.

Analyse the needs of end users to understand how digital capability/toolscan support and elevate Ice Cream R&D efficiency.

Collaborate across RD&Ito investigate, design and land new digital capability in theGlobal Ice Cream Business. 

KEY INTERFACES:

RD&Iproject leaders & developers in all teams and all Regions

Technical specialists across Ice CreamRD&Icapabilities and other functions e.g. Supply Chain, Procurement.

Supplier/Partner Organisations/IT Function

ALL ABOUT YOU:

Strong self-drive, proactive and diligent mindset, with good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good computer literacy/experience with proven ability to learn new systems.

Passion for using and developing Digital Tools as an enabler to help all Product Developers.

Ability to prioritize workload against demand from multiple customers and projects.

Collaborative mind-set, able to work with co-developers, experts and end users.

Working knowledge of key Unilever process and systems, e.g. PLM.

University degree/diploma or equivalent experience in food innovation or product development.

Proven experience (>2 years) in the food industry, especially in product development.

A formal Digital background is not necessarily required, but enthusiasm for building Digital tools, helping support and being a Champion for the Digital programme is critical.

Ability to code using Python would be beneficial, but not essential
