Role/ Department: Digital Transformation Execution Effectiveness Specialist / Digital Modernization Office (DMO)

The Digital Modernization Office (DMO) is the control tower and heart of our digital modernization. The DMO focuses on the high priority, transformative initiatives, drives cross-enterprise coordination and alignment, provides enterprise transparency and directly engages to address critical issues with senior leadership cross-BU; Providing a strategic, independent, unbiased perspective while cultivating a transformation mindset.

The Digital Transformation Execution Effectiveness Specialist role will support DMO “Special Projects”. Working in conjunction with technology and business executives across NT in a strategic fast paced environment. The role will problem solve, define and drive a range of strategic enterprise initiatives including: product operating model design and execution, target funding model design, execution effectiveness productivity, large program health checks analysis and remediation and other enterprise initiatives.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Evaluate operating model changes and automation opportunities across the SDLC including development (e.g., copilots), testing automation, CI/CD, etc. that will drive productivity outcomes

• Develop and continually refine execution productivity strategy and adaption plan to include financials, operating model, tools, new processes, etc.

• Define and drive any required analysis, working sessions, ad-hock meetings, to continually drive progress against goals

• Organize drive and support ideation and problem-solving sessions as required with DMO, technology and business leadership

• Prepare high quality materials and talking points for management group updates, internal communications, high-level readout reports, etc..

• Support on going socialization with technology and business executive teams including the development of executive level presentations as required

• Work closely with DMO technology and business leadership to drive execution productivity plan adaption, including change management plans and tracking against progress

Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience as a management consultant or internal consultant within financial services is desirable

• Business knowledge in Asset Servicing, Wealth Management or Asset Management

• Experience with technology productivity levers at scale in financial services organizations

• Proficient in financial modeling and business case development with return on investment analysis

• Experience with operating model and organizational design to improve productivity

• Understanding and exposure to product based operating model strategies

• Understanding of SDLC process and tools (agile, automated testing, CI/CD , GitHub co-pilot, etc. )

• Understanding of Cloud strategies, tools and technologies

• Practical experience with change management processes

• Highly flexible with a change agent mentality

• Ability to work with imperfect information

• Excellent verbal and written communications skill

Salary Range:

$137,400 - 233,600 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
