Digitial Transformation Engineer

 

Job Title: Automation/Industrial/Digital Transformation Engineer

Reports To: Lean Operations & Digital Transformation Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Automation/Industrial Engineer to join our Digital Transformation team and be a valuable member of our new Berlin Smart Factory Industry 4.0 Innovation Hub. As a Junior Automation/Industrial Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing, enhancing, and maintaining our automation and digitization processes. You will collaborate closely with Operations, Automation, and IT teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

System Maintenance and Improvement: Maintain and propose improvements to current systems, including Power BI Dashboards/Reports, Universal Robots, AGVs, Smart Sensors, CAD, 3D Printing, and Digital Quality Systems. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve business processes through Industry 4.0 technologies and information systems and develop recommendations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between manufacturing operations, IT, BI, and data warehouse teams. Documentation and Training: Develop documentation, training curriculum, and conduct formal training sessions. Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: 0-2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment or as a Manufacturing, IE, Automation Engineer Technical Skills: Experience with data visualization tools, especially Power BI. Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) or MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management). Soft Skills: Strong project management and critical thinking skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Handson and initiative-taker Education: Bachelor's degree in Automation, IE, or Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, AI, and machine learning. Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
