The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Digitization Specialist to support our government customer at Kirkland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will be part of a high-volume production team responsible for digitizing various forms of media for DTRA’s Information Analysis Center (DTRIAC). Media comes in various formats, including handwritten and printed documents, photos, negatives (including digital formats), films (including digital format), microfiche, microfilm, maps, and drawings. The successful candidate will have experience with digitization equipment or display an aptitude for learning new processes, equipment/machinery, and an ability to follow procedures with an attention to detail.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide production digitization according to priorities set by the Ops Manager. Maintain a standard file naming convention and file structure. Ensure by-item traceability and tracking. Upload resulting digital files to the Data Lake, unless file sizes (e.g., films) require alternate storage. Maintain a clean and food free environment for digitization activities. Follow original media preservation best practices. Ensure the other media are stored and handled in a secure area. Repair or clean if needed. Evaluate other media items, log markings, and enter into STARS. Evaluate newly received other media items for integrity and preservation needs. Ability to meet production digitization output quotas and quality standards. Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with Digitization Equipment a plus Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment requiredREQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
Must be a U.S. Citizen An active Secret clearance is required
