Dimensional Specialist

Assure quality by driving dimensionally capable product and process

Identify the critical few features that define quality Create and maintain control plans for all features Assure coordinated datums and features Assure dimensionally capable product and assembly tooling design Identify, develop, and implement metrology innovation​  Lead and manage all Metrology related activities  Lead root cause analysis of all dimensional issues, leveraging various inspection equipment (Meisterbock, QAF, Laser Scanner, CMM) Work with production and cross-functional teams in developing, evaluating and implementing corrective actions (example, simulating a shim move and evaluating its impact using Meisterbock)  Work with production and cross-functional teams in developing, evaluating and implementing corrective actions by conducting root cause analysis for part detail and build process issues, identify issue resolution, prioritize actions, and assist in subsequent continuous improvement initiatives Lead dimensional certification for all buy/make parts following FCA Part qualification process Assist stamping and supplier engineering activities with Part buyoff and prioritization matrices for part improvements.  Lead metrology team through use of QAF fixtures and supplier reviews to ensure zero build issues and timely supplier support/feedback and commitments are achieved. Lead parts and system validation process for all Body geometry/vehicle fit and the variation reduction efforts for the Body Shop (Goal of achieving Vehicle EBO GA/BIW and BIW Cp/Cpk > 1.33 for all critical features and sustaining those levels through product life cycle)  Publish daily, weekly, monthly reports (Carpet reports, EBO and Body Cp/Cpk trend charts) 

Engineering degree Electronic, Mechatronic or equivalent.

5 years experience in Automotive industry.

Experience on Metrology systems and measurement equipment

Problem Solver with strong analytic skills.

Strong data management skills. Data tools knowledge to manage large amounts of data efficiently and effectively.

English written and spoken, capable to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels. Leadership skills focused on results. Communication and relationship skills.

High energy to achieve and deliver. Self motivated and emotional strength to manage stress and pressure.
