We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Dining Services/Executive Chef to oversee all kitchens and dining rooms on our campus. Our mission is to create an environment that promotes comfort, safety, and overall well-being. 

 

As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing and directing all culinary operations across our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Long-Term Care, dining facilities. You will ensure that meals are nutritious, delicious, and catered to the diverse dietary needs of our residents. Your leadership will ensure that the dining experience is consistently exceptional, creating an environment where residents feel valued and cared for.

Responsibilities Oversee all kitchen operations and dining room services across multiple areas of the campus.Plan and execute diverse, high-quality meal programs that meet the dietary needs and preferences of Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Long-Term Care residents.Ensure that all meals are prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, cleanliness, and dietary guidelines.Manage and lead kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and ensuring a collaborative and positive work environment.Monitor food inventory and ordering, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable use of resources.Collaborate with dietary teams, nutritionists, and medical staff to accommodate special dietary requirements, including but not limited to low-sodium, diabetic, and texture-modified diets.Create and maintain weekly and seasonal menus that promote variety and excitement for residents.Foster a warm, friendly, and professional dining environment for both residents and staff.Manage kitchen budgets, track expenses, and ensure efficient use of resources without compromising quality.

Education and Certificates required: 

Must possess a bachelors degree in culinary art, nutrition, or similar field or interest; or be a graduate of a culinary institute.ServSafe Manager Certification required.Food Handler's Card required. Must have current TB test or attain one before starting work.  Qualifications Proven experience as an Executive Chef or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar senior leadership culinary role.Strong background in managing multiple kitchens and dining operations, ideally in a healthcare, senior living, or hospitality setting.Knowledge of senior dietary needs and ability to create well-balanced and customized meal plans.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse kitchen team.Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.Ability to maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment and ensure compliance with all safety standards.Strong understanding of food costs, budgeting, and inventory management.Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions, when necessary. Possess leadership qualities and must be able to work harmoniously with other personnel. Bilingual skills are a plus.
