ABOUT THE TEAM
 

Hyperspace is an internal offering for all development teams at SAP, provided by the Intelligent Enterprise Innovation, Technology & Data unit.   

 

Its focus is on enhancing the development experience and productivity for all development teams at SAP. 

Hyperspace provides the map for creating enterprise-ready cloud products, led by high-performing development teams, along effective guidelines and collaboration.  With the goal of supporting SAP’s cloud transformation, the DORA metrics serve as the compass, measuring progress and making sure SAP’s development teams are heading in the right direction. 


THE ROLE


Creation of a master thesis by leveraging academic research and connecting to various experts within our Hyperspace unit and SAP’s development teams on the following topics:

Research and compare existing models to define, measure and predict development productivity. Development Productivity in the Software Industry: How do enterprise software companies approach development productivity? What are their priorities, focus areas, investment topics? Comparison to SAP’s Hyperspace offering. DORA as industry leading model towards software delivery performance: Industry Benchmarking with focus on the Enterprise Software market Correlation between Software Delivery Performance and Business Performance (Product & Company) Governance models to drive improvements for Software Delivery Performance: Enforcement vs. Coaching/Enablement vs. Empowerment with Outcome Targets Continuous Improvement as approach to drive Software Delivery Performance Investments into Engineering Tech Teams (for Enforcement and/or Coaching/Enablement incl. central process and tools)

 


ROLE REQUIREMENTS

 

Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences Preferred fields of study: software engineering Computer skills: profound cloud software engineering skills including continuous delivery approach levering state-of-the-art technologies Language skills: fluent in English, German as a plus Soft skills: self-organized, team player, goal oriented Others: experience with software engineering for business purposes is a plus


This is a SAP global, strategic, paid internship placement that provides students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers.
