The pay range for this position is $59.79-93.30.
Position Summary: The Director of Emergency and Critical Care Services provides clinical leadership and administrative oversight for Emergency Department, Critical Care areas (such as ICU, CCU, and Cardiac Catheterization Unit), and other units as assigned. . The position is an integral member of the nursing leadership team and works collaboratively with the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure clinical excellence and compassionate care.
Essential Functions:
+ Plan, organize and direct the development of short‐ and long‐term plans that are integrated with and strengthen strategic plan including, but not limited to Patient Safety, Operational Efficiency, Workforce, and Excellent Clinical Outcomes.
+ Create and leverage linkages between Emergency and Critical Care Services with other disciplines.
+ Identify common objectives, resources and activities with Physicians, Nursing, Quality, Risk Management, Safety, IS, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and Compliance to create synergies that support the overall organizational strategic plan including, but not limited to: issues on both financial and non‐financial matters; accreditation standards, and patient safety Demonstrates the ability to be a person of influence when relating to our patients, family, staff, physicians and all other customers.

+ Remains fiscally responsible and strives to meet budgetary targets.
+ Meets regulatory requirements.
+ Focuses on performance improvement and integrates Lean Six Sigma concepts within improvement activities. Focuses on correct hospital reimbursement
Other Duties:
The Director is an active partner for coordination of Critical Care and Emergency services and all accreditations of which these services has impact. The accreditation processes for these designations require organizing teams of staff from multi‐disciplinary roles, presenting information in a concise, professional manner, attending conferences significant to the designation, following up on required data elements, and assuring success with the accreditation process.
The Director assumes responsibility and accountability for effective management of the SAFE program within each respective hospital in conjunction with its coordinator (Sexually Assault Forensic Examiner). This includes annual review and partnering with the physician leader for this program.
