Dir, Pt. Access & Operations - Administration - Full Time
Position Summary: Under the direction of the SVP COO Guthrie Medical Group this position will be responsible for patient access management and special projects for Guthrie Medical Group operations. This position's primary focus is on operations and improving access to care for patients. Advises leadership on opportunities for improved workflow in quality, safety and access and growth consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Guthrie Medical Group. Effectively allocates resources to implement the vision, mission goals and objectives of the organization in the form of high quality, customer services while maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. Education, License & Cert: Bachelor's and / or Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or other relevant field preferred. Experience in relevant field will be considered in lieu of degree. Experience: 2 years experience in project management required. Essential Functions: Supports the SVP COO and President, GMG with projects specific to patient access and growth strategy for GMG operations Effectively communicates key initiatives to GMG operational leaders Responsible for metrics reporting and distribution to key stakeholders, including developing dashboards to provide transparency of project initiatives to GMG providers and staff Assists with developing and operationalizing patient access strategy and goals. Responsible for execution and goal achievement. Responsible for facilitating all aspects of the Access Steering Committee. Conducts regular meetings, assists with team coordination, clearly identified tasks, monitoring and documenting progress toward goals, escalating barriers to achievement. Works with other administrative staff to develop systems which standardize work processes as it relates to patient access functions. Acts as a resource for Guthrie Medical Group operational leaders. Where appropriate, analyzes work processes and procedures and implements changes to improve workflow and efficiency. Supports such changes with both data and analysis. Participates in GMG committees and project teams as appropriate. Recommends improvements in physical plan, including renovations/construction and routine maintenance, to improve both workflow and satisfaction. This position works closely with Patient Access leaders on the Revenue Cycle team to ensure alignment and system integration This position may also have direct operational responsibilities for departments as assigned by the SVP COO Guthrie Medical Group.
