OverviewThe Director of Sterile Processing is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic and employee related activities for Central Sterile Processing, Operating Room Sterile Processing, and Logistics Sterile Processing within all Children's Mercy locations. This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring the goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives. This role develops and implements plans, policies, and procedures regarding operations and staffing. Oversees purchasing of equipment, instruments, and supplies for operation budget development and forecasted long-range planning. The Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders, coordinating the activities and services of Sterile Processing across the Children's Mercy enterprise. The Director of Sterile Processing serves as the programmatic and operational leader for Sterile Processing and is responsible to the Senior Director, Perioperative Services.

Responsibilities Provides leadership for team members to support the operations of Central Sterile Processing, Operating Room Sterile Processing, and Logistics Sterile Processing across the enterprise.Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates department operations and staff selection, evaluation, provides guidance on scheduling and continuing education for all areas of the department in cooperation with the Sr. Director, Perioperative Services.Builds collaborative relationships and maintains regular communication with all sterile processing customers in order to meet customer service needs and ensure continued compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements.Utilizes financial data to effectively manage the departments' operating budgets, plan capital expenditures, and formulate a business plan for new programs or services.Promote continuous quality improvement work while supporting the Children's Mercy Lean System (CMLS). Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $46.62/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
