Position Title: Dir., Strategic Planning and Business Operation
Reporting Line: General Manager of China R&D
Location: Beijing, China
We seek a talented and motivated leader with experience and expertise in scientific and business strategic planning to join the journey with China R&D Team to expand our impact in translating breakthrough sciences into products that extend and save human lives. The position will be working closely with GM in implementing R&D strategy to bring innovative medicines/vaccines to China, providing strategic insights in business planning, and collaborating with China R&D leadership team, business functions within China Team, and global and regional functional leaders to ensure efficient communication and business operation.
Primary Responsibilities:
The position will sit in the China R&D leadership team with broad presence in business planning, business operation, strategy set-up and interactions with business partners. The position will work closely with GM to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of key business objectives and results of China R&D Team
Work closely with GM and China R&D leadership team to integrate and manage business priorities including project pipeline, site activities, capability and capacity development and talent development. Interact with relevant China R&D functions and China business partners to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient execution of business priorities. Interact with HQ and regional stakeholders to ensure a clear alignment and implementation of the overall company priorities in China.Oversee and coordinate key strategic initiatives within the organization and keep track the progress to ensure the alignment and communication among divisional/functions.Identify business risks and areas for improvement and develop relevant risk mitigation plan and plan for improving the operation efficiency.Provide industry-leading scientific and intelligence insight to support critical decision-making.Provide business operation expertise and leadership in establishing future R&D strategies. Assist GM in strategic communications and internal/external presentations.Collaborate with China communication department to develop and align key messages and communication plans. Assist GM in facilitating productive LT meetings in driving and executing agenda, and closely following up action items.Education & Experience Requirements
Ph.D. /MD in life or biomedical sciences (or equivalent)Solid experience in drug discovery or development with pharmaceutical or biotech companies (>10 years)Demonstrated scientific capability/experience.Strong leadership with business acumenSolid analytical and excellent interpersonal skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills (both written and oral communication)Agile and strong in strategic thinking and stakeholder managementCurrent Employees apply HERE
