Summary:
Northern Light Health Foundation seeks an experienced, collaborative, and innovative philanthropy professional to serve as the Director of Annual Giving and Stewardship. The Director will develop, lead, and manage strategic and comprehensive annual giving, grateful patient, and stewardship programs to advance fundraising and donor engagement to enhance and sustain patient care and assistance, programs, and greatest needs.
Responsibilities:
+ Build, manage and implement comprehensive annual fund, grateful patient, and employee giving programs utilizing segmentation and messaging to maximize giving potential.
+ Develop strategic plans for donor acquisition, renewal, and upgrade.
+ Create and execute strategic initiatives to increase philanthropic revenue, donor retention, and employee engagement.
+ Produce impactful digital and print annual fund packages and communications.
+ Enhance annual campaign to develop prospective major and planned gift donors.
+ Lead grateful patient training sessions for internal colleagues.
+ Create collateral materials for outreach to grateful patients and clinician referral program.
+ Lead and develop an employee giving program to enhance philanthropic capacity.
+ Build relationships with member organization and system leadership.
+ Lead and manage donor recognition and stewardship initiatives.
+ Evaluate the annual return on investment of key solicitation programs.
+ Develop tracking systems to evaluate and measure results.
+ Meet quarterly metrics and annual fundraising goals.
+ Other duties.
Other Information:
+ Bachelor's degree in finance, business or similar with a master’s degree or similar advanced degree preferred. Personal track record of successful annual fund and grateful patient program development, management, and execution.
+ Possess a current driver’s license and must have reliable vehicle for travel throughout the State of Maine.
+ Flexibility working occasional weekends, evenings, or holidays.
+ Significant annual fund experience preferably in healthcare.
+ Proven success in a donor-centered fundraising operation with a key role in annual fund and/or grateful patient giving programs.
+ Strong ability to work proactively, establish priorities, set objectives, and achieve stated goals.
+ Outstanding communicator who possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills; and the ability to work collegially and interact effectively with a diverse community.
+ Ability to extract and analyze data to make effective, efficient decisions about donor strategy and process.
+ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, build effective relationships, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Unwavering commitment to ensuring the highest standards of donor stewardship.
+ Ability to handle confidential material responsibly and interact professionally with diverse individuals.
+ Proficiency with Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred.
